Growing up in Bombay, the beach was my pause button. I would go before the city fully woke up, or right as it started to exhale at day’s end. What stayed with me wasn’t the skyline or the tide. It was the sky itself.
This collection 'Horizons Remembered' abstract landscapes comes from those moments. It’s inspired by the changing colours of the sky during dawn and dusk — the way pale coral would bleed into amber, how a grey morning could suddenly tear open to rose and gold, or how twilight would turn the water into liquid sapphire. My works are loose, atmospheric, and layered because memory is too. These paintings bring in a feeling of peace and calm, meant to slow a room down. They work as a visual exhale: a reminder of horizon lines, early light, and the stillness we find at the edge of water.
